What we've achieved

March 2019 - Wellbeing Partnership for 2019

We’re delighted to announce that Phoenix Group is partnering with Living Streets charity on a UK-wide unique wellbeing venture for 2019.

Phoenix has been working with the charity over a number of years, co-ordinating walking audits, community led-walks and cultural tours. For 2019 our partnership will bring a wealth of new activity across all our UK sites. The charity celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. One of its first campaigns included introducing the UK’s first zebra crossing and speed limits.

Jonathan Pears, Group Chief Risk Officer, will be the executive wellbeing lead, helping colleagues to champion the benefits of walking and encouraging everyone to build more steps into their working day. Jonathan commented:

“It’s a privilege to be partnering with Living Streets this year to boost the wellbeing of colleagues onsite, and to collectively help spread the positive benefits that the simple act of walking can bring to all.”

January 2019 - Healthy Choices Food Award

Following a visit from Worcestershire Regulatory Services, we’re proud to announce that our onsite restaurant at Wythall is still achieving the standards required for the ‘Healthier Choices Food Award’.

The Group first achieved the ‘Gold’ standard award back in May 2016.

“I would like to congratulate you and your team on continuing to meet all of the criteria of the Healthier Choices Scheme. You offer a fantastic selection of healthier options, continue to run your ‘no waste Friday’ initiative and are obviously working hard on providing all the allergen information for the meals.” Worcestershire Regulatory Services

The word ‘choice’ is what our wellbeing programme is all about.  We provide options to help colleagues get the most out life - healthy eating choices is just one example of that.
